Cleaning Strategies for People Who Are Busy

Cleaning Strategies For People Who Are Busy

Do you daydream about having an HGTV-worthy house? A clean and organized house is something that almost everyone wants. However, when your days are full, it is hard to keep up with housekeeping. If you don’t clean on a regular basis, your house will no doubt be even harder to clean. Fortunately, it is possible to keep a clean house even when you don’t have a lot of time. Here are some strategies to help.

#1 Pair Cleaning With Other Tasks

This is probably the best cleaning strategy for busy people. While waiting for your coffee to brew in the morning, empty the dishwasher. Right after you brush your teeth, clean off the bathroom sink. After you shower in the morning, wash off the sink and mirror. Since they probably still have steam on them, it will be easier to get them sparkling clean.

#2 Keep Cleaning Supplies Handy

Instead of keeping all of your cleaning supplies in one place, consider keeping a stash of cleaning products in each room. Use multipurpose products and put bottles of cleaning spray and cloths in each bathroom. Keep kitchen cleaning supplies in the kitchen and do the same for the laundry room. This will help you keep each room tidy and clean without having to go looking for supplies.

#3 Clear Clutter As You Walk Around

When walking from the TV room to the bathroom, pick up any clutter along the way. As you make your way into the bedroom for the night, look around for clutter. Clear off clothes that you have piled on chairs or that are laying on the floor. Any time you walk from one room to the next, look for things that are out of place and pick them up.

#4 Consider a Cleaning Service

It can be helpful to hire a recurring home cleaning service if you are very busy. A cleaning service can tackle things like dusting, mopping and vacuuming on a regular basis. This frees you up to focus on other things and it ensures that your house stays nice and tidy.
